“ Had such an amazing dining experience at Felix! Vibes were great, service was perfect and the menu variety specializing on handmade pasta- over 8 types of pasta dishes! Even though this restaurant is similar to Mother Wolf and Funke, the interior did feel more casual and chill which was great. Ordered a few drinks to kickoff dinner and those were delicious. Went with some squash blossoms for an appetizer and of course those were perfect. I did notice these are bigger than the ones at Mother Wolf and Funke. We ordered two pasta dishes but that rigatoni was the star of the show. It was so thick and the sauce was so flavorful. The portion was so big too, definitely had leftovers there. Also ordered the ribeye and I would say that one was okay. Stick to the pastas and pizza. Only reason I didn't go for pizza is because I had it previously before. But I did see every other table order it and that's when I knew I had made a mistake. All in all, if you want some Italian fine dining, Felix will hit! Reservations can only be made a week in advance. ”
“ Evan funke is always killin it! After trying the sister restaurant Mother Wolf, I journeyed out to Felix to try one of the best italian places in LA. It did not disappoint! The polpette della maestra alessandra was one of the best things ive ever had. The pesto parmesean sauce was liquid gold. I could eat anything with it. For pastas I had the amatriciana and tagliatelle. Both were delicious in unique ways. I came here for my birthday and the nice waitress gave me a free dessert :) awesome way to spend my birthday. ”
“ Been here many times. Best meal ever. Just love everytging esp the homemade pasta. I cant believe I didnt take food picture! I know why tho, because it was THAT good, I was so hungry, we quickly prayed and stuffed our faces. ”
“ Felix has been open for nearly a decade, and it's clear why it remains fully booked. On a Thursday night at 7 PM, the restaurant was packed, but the wait for bar seating was reasonable. Miles is a consummate professional--there isn't a word on the menu he doesn't know or a cocktail he can't craft with precision. Despite its longevity, Felix remains impeccably maintained, striking a balance between cozy and thoughtfully designed. The space, with its dynamic rooms, feels inviting and intimate. The menu is both classic and unmistakably Evan Funke's vision. Few restaurants can execute such a wide variety of fresh pasta dishes at this level. Though I've been tempted by the pizza menu, I have yet to try it--but that just gives me another reason to return. I look forward to coming back, working my way through more of the menu, and enjoying the hospitality of Miles and the team. ”
“ Absolutely delicious!!!! Pasta is on point, hands down one of the best spots in LA. We ordered the tagliatelle and trofie which were both perfection. Tagliatelle is a thinner noodle and the right heartiness and the Trofie was a delight- pesto was the best I've ever had. For apps we had the squash blossoms which were tasty and suppli in bianco which was like a mix between an arancini and croquetta. We also had the arugula salad which was refreshing and light- it looks like a lot but we actually finished the whole plate for just 2 people. Can wait to come back and try more pasta!! ”
“ Make reservations! Talk about being in carb heaven! The pasta, bread and pizza are just absolute heavenly and perfect. Pricey yes, but the quality that Chef Evan Funke brings is unparalleled and worth every penny. Go hungry, order the foccacia bread and at least one pasta and one pizza. Even reheated leftovers was delicious the next day! Absolutely worth the hype and difficult to get reservation process. ”
“ I came here for a Girls Night out while visiting LA area. My friend was able to get a reservation. They will hold tour table for 15 minutes so please arrive on time. You don't want to miss an amazing meal here. We shared a few dishes amongst the 4 of us. We over ordered but everything was delicious. Our server was attentive and helpful. Homemade Focaccia 10/10- good to dip in the Grilled Prawn appetizer. Grilled Prawns- 10/10- delicious and sauce is to die for Arugula salad- 9/10- Nice fresh, fluffy and simple sad that was yummy. Fried stuffed Zuchinni blossoms/ 10/10 Pasta Limon- 9/10- Delicous, fresh pasta and citrus was well balanced. Carbonara-7/10- had better and didn't enjoy the pasta shape but the flavor was there. Just a preference. I just love long noodles. Cacio e Pepe- 8/10- Tastey and enjoyable Pasta Ragout Tagliatelle - 8/10- loves the red sauce and the pasta. Tiramisu- 9/10 Cocktails 10/10 We left there extremely full and satisfied. Only thing I would change is getting 2 pasta dishes instead of 4. Everything overall was great but it was a lot of food for us. ”
“ While planning our California trip, my husband decided one of the places we will be eating at is here or another one of Funke's restaurant. Ultimately, we chose Felix and it didn't disappoint. We arrived early but since they were bustling with customers, we were asked to wait near the bar and grab a drink. We sat down and chatted til around 8 and was seated. During the chat session, we had chosen a few things from the online menu only to see their actual menu was a bit different from what was offered online. Not a big deal though but keep that in mind! Maybe ask for a menu as you're waiting if you're early. We ordered the focaccia, a salad, mushroom pizza, pesto pasta, cacio e pepe and prime rib (?) and tiramisu as dessert. I was the only one to grab a drink and it was the nonalcoholic yuzu mint one. Overall, the food was delicious and being seated near the chef making pasta was a plus to see him at his craft! I highly recommend the pesto pasta, it was cooked perfectly and the pesto was so creamy. Delicious! The other one I loved was definitely the warm and fluffy focaccia bread. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I think the cacio e pepe was a little too al dente for my palette but the concept of it as explained by my husband was amazing. The cracked pepper added a sense of "spiciness" I never anticipated from a pasta. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium so no complaints there. And the tiramisu was delightful. My friends in Cali don't usually like tiramisu but they too, were pleasantly surprised. Overall what deducted the star rating for me was partially their inattentiveness. In the beginning, service was superb. Everything was brought out in a timely fashion but when my friends asked for a refill of her hot water, it seemed to have fallen to deaf ears. We figured if we asked again, they would remember but to her dismay, she had to settle for our sparkling water. The second caveat was the pasta that was a bit too hard for my liking ( my friends also agreed) and if yelp was out of 10 stars, I'd give them 9 since I feel like they were more 4.5 than 4. I still highly recommend this place though! Please try to get a reservation while you're in town for a lovely dinner with your friends or significant other! ”
“ Oo wee. Come for the pasta, but stay for the pizza. I've been meaning to check this place out since they opened, and i finally got around to it. It's pretty easy to snag a rez. Was in venice on a friday afternoon and was able to get a rez at opening same day for dinner service. Had to get the cacio pepe since chef funke introduced LA to this simple dish and decided to grab a pizza too. That Cacio Pepe came of AL DENTE, so if you're not into that the paste might not be it for you but I love me an al dente pasta and it was and cheesy peppery party in my mouth. I love me a neapolitan pizza and oh baby the marg they have here is one of the best in the city. If you love a proper buffalo margherita pizza than this is the one. Their crust is so fluffy with a nice chew and click crunch and char. This pizza is one of those you dream of and cant wait to have again. So as I said earlier. Come for the Pasta but stay for the pizza. Do not leave this place without trying one of their Neapolitan pizzas. Top Notch albeit a bit pricey. This isnt a value play. This is all about quality, and you have to pay for that luxury. ”
“ We came here on a Friday and it was very busy at the bar and restaurant was full with a great energy. We were seated on the lovely outdoor patio, covered with heaters and all. We started with a bottle wine and the focaccia bread - it was crispy on the outside and soft on the instead served warm with delicious rosemary and sea salt. The fried zucchini blossoms had a delicious ricotta inside and the perfect crunch on the outside. The tagliatelle was the best pasta - very fresh ragu with a great meaty flavor. The cacio e Pepe was great as well, but nothing unique. The service was great very attentive and knowledgeable, would highly recommend! ”
